Styles of Yoga

Whether your are attending a class or workshop in person or online, below is a description of the styles of yoga I teach and what to expect from a class.

About the class Each class strongly focuses on synchronizing movement and breath. Classes are influenced by the traditions of Kundalini Yoga and can include sequences, asana (poses), dance, mantra, and pranayama (controlled breathing). They always begin with a warm-up and end with either a meditation and/ or relaxation. Yoga with a punk rock twist: The playlists are carefully chosen to suit each class and the music ranges from fast skatepunk, hardcore, acoustic punk, post-rock, and solfeggio frequency. You will leave the class feeling like you’ve worked both body and mind. Classes are often energetic and will be different from what you’ve ever experienced before. Jo welcomes absolute newbies and shares yoga in a way that is suitable for beginners and intermediate. Modifications are available.

A class based on the traditions of Kundalini Yoga that suitable for all abilities. Movement along to music to free the body and mind through set Kriya’s, mantra, meditation, pranayama, and naad.

Classes are often energetic and will be different from what you’ve ever experienced before. Jo welcomes absolute newbies and shares yoga in a way that is suitable for beginners and intermediate. Modifications are available.

It’s a gentle and powerful yoga style with a strong focus on synchronising the flow of movement with the breathing to allow you to release tension in the body and mind. Building strength and flexibility at your own pace.
