What personal data we collect and why we collect it


When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.


If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you have an account and you log in to this site, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Personal Data Collected at the Time of Booking a Bad Juju Yoga Class

A certain amount of personal data is collected by Bad Juju Yoga at the time of booking. This is for the purposes of meeting Insurance Company criteria as well as for your health and safety at yoga. Health information is used to tailor sessions to suit your individual needs.

All information gathered by Bad Juju Yoga either via the online booking process, electronic forms, or paper, is treated as confidential and will not be shared with a third party. It is kept securely in the Instabook online booking system and only viewed by the teacher of the class or service which you have booked.

You may update or correct your account information and email preferences at any time by logging in to your Instabook account and changing your account and profile settings.

Paper forms are stored safely for the time required by the Insurance Company. Information submitted by paper form is added to the online Instabook booking system.

You may, of course, decline to submit personally identifiable information to Bad Juju Yoga, in which case Bad Juju Yoga may not be able to provide certain services to you.

How Bad Juju Yoga use your contact Information

When booking either online, or on paper, you will be asked to sign a disclaimer. In doing so you are agreeing to your email being used by Bad Juju Yoga to inform you of class changes, service updates and new services that may be of direct interest to you.

You may, of course, decline to submit your email to Bad Juju Yoga, in which case Bad Juju Yoga may not be able to provide certain services to you. If you do not wish to submit your email, and therefore are unable to book online, you can book your class by contacting me on

Emergency Contact information is collected solely for use in an emergency, should Bad Juju Yoga need to contact your next of kin.

If there is a change to Bad Juju Yoga privacy policies or how we use your data we will contact you via email notice, written or hard copy notice, or through conspicuous posting of the notice on my social media channels and via the Booking System. Bad Juju Yoga reserve the right to determine the form and means of providing notifications to you, and you may have opted out of certain means of notification as described in this Privacy Policy.
